State Police have identified the person killed in a crash on Laurel Rd in Laurel, DE on February 5th, 2022. They say the incident happened around 11:14 p.m. A Nissan Sentra operated by 72-year-old James Watson is said to have been headed eastbound on Laurel Rd while a tractor-trailer was headed westbound on Laurel. For unknown reasons, the tractor-trailer reportedly veered into the eastbound lane and collided with the Nissan, pushing it from the road into a shoulder. Watson suffered fatal injuries at the scene. The truck driver was not injured. Additional information about the crash was not available.
