What Happened

Florida Highway Patrol officials are investigating a crash that killed a person at State Rd 52 and Canyon Blvd in Pasco County, FL on December 27th, 2021. Police say the incident happened around 3:48 p.m. Police say seven vehicles were stopped at a red light when a dump truck failed to control its speed and collided with the other vehicles. Four of the vehicles caught fire and a 24-year-old man suffered fatal injuries. Another driver was hospitalized with serious injuries.
