What Happened

Florida Highway Patrol officials are investigating a crash that killed a man at US 1 and Pine Island Rd in St Augustine, FL on February 21st, 2023. Police say the incident happened around 6:24 a.m. According to investigators, a southbound tractor-trailer entered a center median to make a turn onto US 1. As it did, it collided with a sedan headed southbound. The driver the sedan, an unnamed 84-year-old man, suffered fatal injuries at the scene. The other driver, an unnamed 27-year-old man, was not injured. Police had no additional information to share.
