What Happened

Florida Highway Patrol officials are investigating a crash that killed a man at US 27 and County Rd 347 in Levy County, FL on September 6th, 2022. Police say the incident happened around 11:30 a.m. According to investigators, a box truck headed northbound on County Rd 347 is said to have entered into the intersection with US 27 into the path of an SUV. The two vehicles collided and the driver of the SUV, an unnamed 61-year-old Bronson man, suffered fatal injuries. The driver of the box truck, a 61-year-old High Springs man, suffered serious injuries. Additional information was not immediately available.
