Florida Highway Patrol officials are investigating a collision that killed a motorcyclist at Phillips Highway in Jacksonville, FL on August 8th, 2024. Police say the incident happened around 10:20 p.m. According to investigators, a motorcycle traveling northbound in with a second motorcycle is said to have collided with a box truck that turned southbound onto Lenoir Avenue. The 29-year-old operator of one motorcycle was fatally injured while the 23-year-old operator of a second motorcycle was hospitalized with life-threatening injuries.
