What Happened

Florida Highway Patrol officials are investigating a crash that killed a person at I-75 and Bruce B Downs Blvd in Tampa, FL on August 18th, 2022. Police say the incident happened around 8:20 a.m. According to investigators, an SUV is said to have lost control and collided with a flatbed semi-truck. The vehicle were pushed to the side of the woad, colliding with another car and SUV as well as two trucks hauling mobile homes. One person, who was standing outside one of the trucks in the shoulder at the time, was hit and suffered fatal injuries at the scene. Others suffered non-life-threatening injuries, however, police did not specify how many people were injured.
