Florida Highway Patrol officials are investigating a crash that injured a driver at Fruitville Rd near I-75 in Sarasota, FL on August 2nd, 2022. Police say the incident happened around 9 a.m. According to investigators, a passenger sedan headed northbound on Debrecen Road is said to have pulled into the path of a semi-truck at the intersection with Fruitville Rd. The two vehicles collided, seriously injuring the 19-year-old driver of the sedan. He was taken to an area hospital for treatment. The other driver was not injured.
