What Happened

Florida Highway Patrol officials are investigating a crash that killed a woman at County Rd 248 and County Rd 49 in Suwanee County, FL on May 18th, 2022. Police are saying it happened around 10:20 a.m. According to their investigation, a an SUV operated by an unidentified 66-year-old Branford woman was traveling eastbound on County Road 248 when it allegedly failed to stop at a posted stop sign. The vehicle is said to have entered into the intersection with County Rd 49 and was struck by a tractor-trailer. The Branford woman died at the scene. The driver of the truck was not injured. Additional information was not immediately available.
