What Happened

State Police are investigating a crash that killed a driver at I-16 in Bleckley County, GA on September 14th, 2022. Police say the incident happened around 5:15 a.m. According to investigators, a semi-truck parked in a shoulder with mechanical trouble was struck by a westbound truck that veered from its lane into the shoulder. The collision caused one of the vehicles to catch fire and left a driver with fatal injuries. The other driver was able to exit vehicle with minor injuries. Additional information was not available.
