What Happened

Georgia State Patrol officials are investigating a collision that injured a driver at I-85 in Banks County, GA on April 23rd, 2025. Police say the incident happened around 6 a.m. According to investigators, a southbound tractor-trailer is alleged to have collided with a second truck parked in a shoulder with a mechanical problem. Official say the driver of the parked truck, identified 48-year-old Humumed Ali, was hospitalized with undisclosed injuries. The other driver, 32-year-old Derek Corbin, was allegedly uninjured and allegedly cited for failure to maintain lane.
