Area authorities are investigating the death of a California woman in a three-vehicle crash at North Leho Drive in Wailua, HI on November 2nd, 2021. They say the incident happened around 12:40 p.m. A 1997 Lexus sedan operated by an unidentified 63-year-old California woman was headed southbound when a dump truck operated by a 58-year-old Kapa'a man collided with the rear of the Lexus. The impact caused the Lexus to spin out of control into opposite direction traffic, hitting a Toyota pickup truck. The driver of the Lexus was hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries while her front seat passenger, a 67-year-old California woman, was killed. The other two drivers were not injured.
