What Happened

State Police identified the person killed in a collision at US 93 in Twin Falls, ID on November 3rd, 2021. They say it took place around 8:19 p.m. A GMC Sierra headed eastbound on 3700 N is said to have failed to stop at a stop intersection and drove into the path of an approaching northbound semi-truck pulling a tank trailer. The GMC was struck by the semi-truck before it collided with a Ford F-450 stopped in a left turn lane. The driver was hospitalized with undisclosed injuries while 43-year-old passenger, Thomas B Withers, was pronounced dead at the scene. Officials say he was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash. The semi truck driver was hospitalized with undisclosed injuries.
