What Happened

State Police are investigating a crash that killed a woman at I-84 near Boise, ID on August 26th, 2023. Police say the incident happened as a Nissan Sentra came stop a behind a box truck. Officials say the box truck was stopped due to a previous collision. Investigators say an approaching flatbed truck collided with the rear of the Nissan, pushing it into the stopped box truck. The Nissan was further struck by an oncoming semi-truck after the impact from the initial collision pushed it into an adjacent lane. The 36-year-old driver of the Nissan as well as two additional passengers were hospitalized with suspected serious injuries. One woman in her 50's who was not publicly identified, suffered fatal injuries at the scene. Additional information was not immediately available.
