State Police are investigating a collision that killed a man at  I-55 in McLean County, IL on November 22nd, 2021. Police say the incident happened just before 4:30 p.m. A passenger vehicle operated by a 64-year-old Berkeley man is said to have veered into a right shoulder of southbound I-55 for unknown reasons. It then collided with the rear of a flatbed tow truck responding to a separate crash. The Berkeley man died at the scene. A 25-year-old passenger was hospitalized with life-threatening injuries. Additional information was not immediately available.
