What Happened

State Police are investigating a crash that killed a person at State Rd 162 in Dubois County, IN on August 26th, 2022. They say the incident happened when a passenger vehicle operated by 43-year-old Chasidy Fuhrer allegedly failed to stop at a stop sign at Meridian Rd. The vehicle reportedly pulled into the path of a propane truck making a turn at the intersection with State Rd 162, causing the truck to catch fore. Fuhrer required emergency extrication from the vehicle and authorities say Fuhrer was pronounced dead at the scene. The other driver, 37-year-old Nathan Cooper, was hospitalized with undisclosed injuries. Additional information was not available.
