What Happened

State Police are investigating a crash that killed a person at Strawtown Pike in Grant County, IN on January 25th, 2022. Police say the incident happened around 6:54 a.m. A Mack was stopped in front of a home for trash collection when a Chevrolet Avalanche collided with the rear of the truck. Police say the warning lights were activated on the truck at the time and the driver of the Avalanche, 22-year-old Corey Carter, suffered fatal injuries in the collision. Additional information was not immediately available.
