What Happened

State Police have details on a crash that killed two people at County Rd 17 in Goshen, IN on April 25th, 2022. According to police, the incident involved four vehicles. A Toyota Corolla, operated by 44-year-old Dawn Covey, is said to have turned left from Rieth Blvd onto County Road 17 before it was struck by a Mack semi-truck headed southbound. The impact pushed the Toyota into a Jeep Grand Cherokee and Chevrolet Traverse, both stopped at a red light at the intersection. Investigators suspect the truck failed to control its speed prior to the collision. Cover and 72-year-old Lois Fair suffered fatal injuries in the collision.
