What Happened

Clinton County Sheriff's Office authorities identified the people killed in a crash at County RD 500N in Clinton County, IN on November 9th, 2021. Police say the incident happened around 7:39 a.m. A Chevrolet vehicle operated by 51-year-old Richard Windell Jr was headed southbound on State Rd 39 when, for unknown reasons, it veered left of center. It then traveled into the path of a semi-truck operated by 73-year-old Terry McQuern and both vehicles collided, the truck veering from the a porch attached to a private residence that was unoccupied at the time. Both drivers died at the scene. Police had no additional information to share.
