Area authorities are investigating a collision that injured a woman at  I-65 in Gary, IN on September 17th, 2021. Police say the incident happened around 1 a.m. A Pontiac Grand Am was headed northbound on I-65 to westbound I-80.94 when it collided with the rear of a semi-truck parked in a shoulder. The woman driving was hospitalized with life-threatening injuries. Officers say there was evidence at the scene that indicated alcohol or drugs may have been involved in the crash.
