What Happened

State Police identified the person that was injured in a collision at Hwy 75 in Rock Rapids, IA on October 20th, 2021. Police say the incident happened around 2:35 p.m. Police say a Peterbilt semi-truck failed to brake in time to prevent a collision and collided with the rear of a Buick LeSabre operated by 22-year-old Hunter Deland Harkness. The Buick was pushed into a Pontiac Grand Prix in front of it. Harkness was hospitalized with undisclosed injuries. The other drivers were not injured.
