What Happened

Iowa State Patrol officials confirmed the identity of the person killed in a pedestrian collision at Herder St and 2nd St in Guttenberg, IA on September 23rd, 2021. Police say it happened around 7:50 a.m. and involved a school bus. It was said to have been turning from Herder St onto S 2nd St when it struck 66-year-old Judy Puls, who was attempting to cross the street. Police did not say if she was at a designated crossing area at the time. She suffered fatal injuries. No other injuries were reported.
