Iowa State Patrol officials are investigating a collision that killed two people at 220th St in Carroll, IA on April 14th, 2025. Police say the incident happened around 10:30 p.m. According to investigators, a tractor headed eastbound on 22th St is alleged to have missed a stop sign before colliding with a Hyundai Santa Fe headed northbound on Hawthorne Dr. Officials say the incident left the driver of the Hyundai, a 17-year-old male, and one passenger, 56-year-old Pedro Castro, fatally injured. An additional passenger, identified s 24-year-old Carlos Castro, was hospitalized with serious injuries. The driver of the tractor was allegedly charged with leaving the scene of an accident involving death. Additional information was not available.
