What Happened

State Police identified the man killed in a crash at State Road 2154 in Lebanon, KY on July 31st, 2023. Police say it happened around 12:48 p.m. and left 41-year-old Johnathan Maldonado with fatal injuries. Investigators allege a vehicle operated by Maldonado was southbound on Saint Rose Rd prior to traveling into the path of a westbound Freightliner. The vehicles collided, leaving Maldonado and a child passenger, believed to be one of his daughters, seriously injured. Both were taken to an area hospital with injuries the later died from. A third passenger, believed to also be Maldonado's daughter, was hospitalized with serious injuries. The truck operators, 58-year-old James Haag, was hospitalized with suspected minor injuries.
