State Police are investigating a crash that killed a driver at  I-20 near Tarbutton Rd in Ruston, LA on January 31st, 2022. Reports say the incident happened around 5 a.m. and involved an ambulance colliding with the rear of a Jeep for unknown reasons. One of the vehicles is said to have caught fire in the collision and the driver of the Jeep, 29-year-old James Hvamstad, suffered fatal injuries. His passenger was hospitalized with undisclosed injuries. A patient in the ambulance is said to have sustained non-life-threatening injuries. Additional information was not immediately available.
