What Happened

State Police identified the person killed a multi-vehicle crash on I-81 in Hagerstown, MD on April 18th, 2022. They say it happened around 1:49 p.m. under heavy snowfall conditions. A tractor-trailer is said to have collided with the rear of a pickup truck to create the chain reaction, which pushed the pickup truck into an SUV occupied by 30-year-old Brittney Mae Goodwin.  The SUV was pushed into the rear of another tractor-trailer, causing Goodwin fatal injuries at the scene. Two others involved were hospitalized for non-life-threatening injuries. Additional details were not yet available.
