What Happened

Michigan State Police are investigating a crash that killed a person at I-96 near Creyts Rd in Windsor Township, MI on May 31st. 2024. Police say the incident happened around 2 a.m. According to investigators, a westbound tractor-trailer allegedly veered into a shoulder and overcorrected into a concrete barrier. The barrier is said to have been destroyed, falling into an eastbound lane where it was struck by an approaching eastbound Buick. Reports say the 31-year-old man operating the Buick, who was not publicly identified, was fatally injured. The other driver, also not publicly identified, was hospitalized with undisclosed injuries.
