What Happened

State Police are investigating a crash that killed a teen at Hwy 14 in Le Ray Twp, MN on September 12th, 2022. Police say the incident happened around 4:45 p.m. According to investigators, a dump truck headed eastbound was turning northbound onto County Rd 17 before it collided with a westbound passenger car under unclear circumstances. The operator of the passenger car, identified as 16-year-old Gabriela R. Hebl was taken to an area hospital with injuries she later died from. The dump truck driver was uninjured. Police do not suspect alcohol as a factor in the crash and say both drivers were wearing seatbelts at the time of the collision.
