What Happened

Minnesota State Patrol officials are investigating a crash that killed a person at County Rd 7 and Hwy 40 near Willmar, MN on July 16th, 2022. Police are saying it happened around 10 a.m. Initial investigation suggests an eastbound passenger vehicle was headed eastbound on Hwy 40 before, for unknown reasons, it collided with a northbound semi-truck at the intersection with County Road 7. A passenger in the car, identified as 56-yer-old Sharon Beth Berglund, suffered fatal injuries. Another occupant, identified as Daniel Berglund, was hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries. The truck driver, identified as 40-year-old Korey Cox, was not injured.
