What Happened

Mississippi Highway Patrol officials are investigating a crash that killed a person at Hwy 3 in Yazoo County, MS on April 9th. 2022. Police say the incident happened around 6:15 a.m. According to police, a northbound GMC Sierra operated by 46-year-old Tommie Cagle III collided head-on with a southbound tractor-trailer operated by 44-year-old Van Parker. Cagle suffered fatal injuries at the scene. Parker was hospitalized with undisclosed injuries. Additional information was not immediately available.
