State Police are investigating a crash that killed a woman at I-435 in Kansas City, MO on November 14th, 2022. Police believe it happened around 6:30 p.m. According to investigators, a Ford Explorer operated by 56-year-old Deborah D Yelverton was headed southbound on the interstate before the vehicle collided with a deer. The collision left the vehicle disabled in a travel lane before it was struck by an approaching box truck. Yelverton was taken to an area hospital with injuries she died from shortly after.
