What Happened

Nebraska State Patrol officials are investigating a crash that killed a man at Kiowa St and North Arapahoe Ave in Wauneta, NE on July 11th, 2021. Police say the incident happened before 3 p.m. 54-year-old Brian Stute was standing behind a parked tractor-trailer unrolling a tarp when a second truck parked behind his truck. The driver of the second truck exited the vehicle to speak with Stute when her truck began to roll forward down a slope. It then struck Stute, pinning him between the trucks. Stute suffered fatal injuries as a result of the incident. Additional information was not available.
