What Happened

State Police have identified the person killed in a collision on I-80 in Wells, NV on February 8th, 2022. According to reported, a Kwnworth tractor-trailer headed westbound on I-80, operated by 41-year-old Edwin Jones, collided with the trailer of a second tractor-trailer in the right shoulder. Police say the second truck was disabled at the time of the collision and the trailer portion was partially blocking a lane of travel. Jones was ejected from the truck in the impact and suffered fatal injuries at the scene. Additional information was not immediately available.
