What Happened

Area authorities are working to determine what happened in a crash that killed a pedestrian at Highwood Ave in Bergen County, NJ on August 29th, 2021. Officials say it occurred around 3:54 p.m. A transit bus was making righthand turn when it collided with an unidentified 72-year-old woman nearby. Police did not say if she was in the roadway at the time. She was taken to an area hospital with injuries she later died from. No other injuries were reported.
