What Happened

State Police have information on a collision that killed a pair of pedestrians West Apache Dr in Hobbs, NM on February 3rd, 2023.  Officers say the incident happened sometime around 6 p.m. According to investigators, a 33-year-old Joshua Jackson and 27-year-old Octavia Throssel suffered injuries that were fatal after they were struck by a truck operated by 33-year-old Joshua Jackson. Officials say the truck did not stop following the collision and state that Jackson alleged being unaware it struck the victims. Jackson was arrested on an Involuntary Manslaughter charge.
