What Happened

New York Police are investigating a crash that killed a teen at Bedford Ave and Quentin Rd in Brooklyn, NY on January 17th, 2022. They say the incident happened just before 8 a.m. A school bus operated by 55-year-old Aleksandr Patlakh was attempting to make a right turn at the intersection when it struck 15-year-old Antonina Zatulovska. Investigators say the teen had the right-of-way as she crossed the intersection and suffered fatal injuries from the collision. Police also say the school bus that Patlakh was operating had kids aboard en route to a nearby Jewish school. Patlakh reportedly did not stop to render aid after the collision and was later located by police on a failure to stop for pedestrian charge and failure to use due care charge.
