Area authorities have information on a crash that injured a person at Old Kings Hwy in Saugerties, NY on August 22nd, 2022. Police say the incident happened when a Jeep Compass headed southbound on Old Kings Hwy attempted to pass a dump truck in a no-pass zone. A northbound Ford F-150 is said to have swerved into a southbound lane to avoid a head-on collision while the dump truck veered into a westbound shoulder. It then overturned into an embankment before the Ford struck the front of the dump truck. 61-year-old Raymond Mendock, the dump truck operator, and a passenger in the truck were both hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries.
