What Happened

State Police are gathering details related to a crash that killed a man at First Ave and 76th St in The Bronx, NY on December 13th, 2021. Police are saying it happened around 5:10 p.m. 31-year-old Salvador Navarette-Flores was riding a Jiajue moped when it collided with a box truck that was parked at the intersection. Navarette-Flores was taken to an area hospital with injuries he later died from. Investigators say they are working to determine whether the conditions present at the time regarding the truck and what kind of delivery was being made whether or not it was illegally parked.
