What Happened

Orangetown Police officials are investigating a crash that injured a driver at Route 303 in Rockland County, NY on November 15th, 2021. Police say the incident happened around 5:03 p.m. A commercial box truck operated by a 29-year-old Middletown man was headed northbound in Route 303 when it collided with a Subaru Forester operated by 83-year-old Seymour Whynman. The impact caused the Forester to collide with a Ford transit van in a southbound turn lane. Whynman was transported to an area hospital with injuries he died from. His female passenger was also hospitalized. Additional information was not available.
