What Happened

New York State Police are investigating a crash that killed a teen at Liberty St in Dexter, NY on June 28th, 2022. Police say the incident involved a truck-trailer colliding with a bicyclist at the intersection with Lakeview Driver. The cyclist, 14-year-old Caleb Weygandt, was taken to an area hospital for treatment of injuries he later died from. Police say the truck driver was found to be not at fault and no charges are currently pending.
