What Happened

North Carolina Highway Patrol officials are investigating a multi-vehicle accident at Patterson Ave in Winston-Salem, NC on July 28th, 2021. Police say the incident happened around 11:13 a.m. A vehicle headed south on Patterson Ave collided with a second vehicle that turned left onto the same road. The impact pushed the second vehicle across a center turn lane into a northbound travel lane, causing it to collide with a dump truck headed north. Artemas Dixon suffered fatal injuries at the scene. The other drivers involved were not injured.
