North Dakota Highway Patrol officials are investigating a crash that injured three people at Hwy 2 in Bismarck, ND on July 22nd, 2023. Police say the incident happened around 8:45 a.m. According to investigators, a semi-truck was headed southbound when it allegedly failed to yield. The vehicle is said to have traveled across westbound lanes through a median before turning onto Highway 2 and into an eastbound lane. Police say the vehicle entered into the path of an eastbound Hyundai Elantra, the vehicles colliding in the process. The crash left the driver of the Hyundai, a 34-year-old man who was not publicly identified, with non-life-threatening injuries. Also injured were a 20-year-old female passenger and a 3-year-old child. Police say the trio were hospitalized for treatment. The truck operated was not injured in the crash, according to police, who say charges are pending against. Additional information was not available.
