What Happened

Ohio Police are investigating a crash that killed a teacher at Chester Ave and East 21st St in Cleveland, OH on November 3rd, 2021.  Police say that just before 8 a.m., 33-year-old Danielle Chronister was crossing an intersection at Chester and East 21st St when a dump truck making a right turn struck her. She was knocked to the ground and struck by the rear tires of the truck. She was transported to an area hospital for treatment and died from her injuries. Investigators say the traffic signal turned green and pedestrian crossing signal read "walk" at the time. Additional information was not immediately available.
