What Happened

Police have information on a crash that killed one person involved at I-77 in Strasburg, OH on November 12th, 2024. Authorities say the incident happened as a northbound semi-truck was attempting a u-turn at a crossover. Investigators say as the truck turned, an approaching SUV collided with the rear of the truck. Reprots say the operator of the SUV, identified as 78-year-old Dennis Alsept, was hospitalized with injured he later died from. Officials say the truck involved allegedly left the scene of the incident and police are currently searching for the vehicle and its operator.
