What Happened

Ohio State Police are investigating a crash that killed two people at I-80 in Swanton, OH on September 8th, 2021. Police say the incident happened around 11 p.m. A tractor-trailer headed westbound on I-80 when it collided with the rear of a Mercedes-Benz Sprinter van operated by 44-year-old Krzysztof M. Augustynski. The van became trapped under the trailer and Augustynski and a passenger, 40-year-old Lukasz Pasierbowicz, were killed in the collision.
