What Happened

Ohio State Highway Patrol officials are investigating a collision that killed a man at I-475 in Toledo, OH on October 15th, 2021. Police say the incident happened around 3:45 p.m. A commercial semi-truck operated by 35-year-old Hakim Niazi is said to have lost control while traveling around a curve. It then veered across a median and struck a vehicle that it also landed on top of. The car was pinned and the driver was extricated and hospitalized with injuries that he died from. Niazi was not injured. Additional information was not immediately available.
