What Happened

Findlay Police identified the bicyclist killed in a collision at Tiffin Ave and Factory St in Findlay, OH on August 24th, 2021. They say it happened around 9:41 a.m. 79-year-old Michael Lafferty was riding a bicycle westbound on Center Street as it approached the Tiffin Ave intersection. It then failed to yield at a stop sign and crossed into the path of a box truck operated by 22-year-old Jacob Tackett. Lafferty suffered fatal injuries in the collision. No citations had yet been issued as the accident remains under investigation at this time.
