What Happened

Ohio State Highway Patrol officials have identified the person killed in a crash at I-70 in Cambridge, OH on June 29th, 2023. Police say it occurred just before 6 a.m. According to investigators, a semi-truck headed westbound is alleged to have left the roadway for unknown reasons before crossing a center median. From there, the vehicle hit a guardrail and second vehicle headed eastbound on the interstate. The driver of the eastbound vehicle, identified as Nathan Johnson, was taken to an area hospital and later pronounced dead of his injuries. Two additional occupants of the vehicle, who were not publicly identified, died at the scene. The condition of the truck driver, Raymond Clifford, was not stated.
