What Happened

Oklahoma Highway Patrol officials are investigating a crash that led to a fatality at State Hwy 33 in Guthrie, OK on February 11th, 2022. They say it happened on westbound State Hwy 33 near Pennsylvania Ave. One truck was headed westbound while another was headed eastbound. The first truck was reportedly attempting to perform a legal u-turn to go southbound onto Pennsylvania Ave when it was struck by the second truck. The impact caused the truck to collide with a third truck. The driver of the first truck was identified as 45-year-old Gayle Lynn Lanoy, who was rushed to a hospital with injuries she later died from. The second driver was hospitalized in critical condition. The third driver involved was not injured.
