What Happened

Oklahoma Highway Patrol officials are investigating a crash that killed a woman at State Hwy 32 in Love County, OK on October 10th, 2022. Police say the incident happened around 7:53 p.m. According to investigators, a semi-truck and motorcycle were traveling eastbound when the motorcycle stopped to make a turn into a brave drive. The semi-truck veered across a center lane, struck the motorcycle and an oncoming pickup truck. The semi-truck overturned in the collision and the driver, identified as 33-year-old Johnathon Smith, was ejected from the truck. A passenger in the pickup truck, 75-year-old Patsy Riley, was taken to an area hospital with injuries she later died from. The driver, 65-year-old Leatha Furrh, was hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries. The motorcyclist, 77-year-old Ronald Westfall was hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries.
