Authorities are investigating a collision that killed two men at I-84 in Umatilla County, OR on December 8th, 2024. Officials say the incident happend around 10 a.m. According to investigators, a semi-truck headed westbound is alleged to have left the roadway before colliding with a guardrail. From there, reports say the vehicle traveled down an embankment before overturning. Officials say two pedestrians were struck in the process, identifies as 25-year-old John Charles Harrington and 24-year-old Marcus Anthony Paul. Both suffered fatal injured at the scene. Officials say the truck operator, who was not publicly identified, had minor injuries and was hospitalized for treatment. Authorities did not have additional information available.
